STRONG FAMILIES WEST VIRGINIA
ELECTION GUIDE

Elected officials have the power to improve the lives of West Virginia children and families.  But for many families in West Virginia, an affordable home, quality healthcare, healthy food, and a good-paying job are out of reach.

Rural hospitals are closing or cutting services, families are losing access to food and health care, child care centers and public schools are closing their doors.

The WV Legislative Action Team, made up of partners around the state, has created a non-partisan voter guide as a tool for West Virginians to see the importance of their vote, engage with candidates on issues impacting family well-being, and educate both candidates and voters alike.

Along with the voter guide, the WV Legislative Action Team is providing mini-grants and training support to local groups to do non-partisan voter engagement and advocacy around the policies that reflect the Legislative Action Team’s policy priorities.

Following the General Election, the Legislative Action Team will continue engaging with community advocates and leaders via advocacy trainings in order to prepare for the 2027 legislative session.
