Bring the Voter Guide to Your Community
To engage local communities on issues affecting children and families, TEAM for WV Children is offering Community Engagement Stipends of up to $500 to help local organizations educate voters and encourage meaningful, nonpartisan conversations about these issues and the stakes of the upcoming elections.
Whether you're hosting a community event, meeting with candidates, or helping neighbors learn more about key issues, we'd love to support your efforts.
Stipend Amount
Up to $500 per organization
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all available funding has been awarded.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor.
Use grant funds only for nonpartisan voter education and civic engagement activities.
Agree that stipend funds will not be used to support or oppose any candidate or political party.
Ideas for Using a Community Engagement Stipend
Stipends can support activities such as:
Hosting a community conversation or candidate forum
Organizing a picnic, coffee hour, or neighborhood gathering focused on family issues
Printing & distributing voter guides and educational materials
Hosting a candidate meet-and-greet or town hall
Conducting a bird-dogging or advocacy training
Purchasing supplies or refreshments for an educational event
Supporting another creative, nonpartisan activity that helps educate voters about issues affecting children and families
These are just examples. We welcome other ideas that advance the same goal.
